Mechanical testing
Quasistatic, Fatigue, impact, extreme temperatures – cryogenic
Material properties under different physical and environmental conditions are very valuable for engineers to design, manufacture and operate structures reliable. AAC’s extensive testing facilities, such as static tensile, compression, flexural and shear testing, complemented with dynamic testing methods (e.g. impact, fatigue, fracture toughness and fatigue crack growth) deliver those important material properties. We are offering not only standardized mechanical testing but tailored testing solutions at extreme conditions, such as cryogenic testing from 4.2K to high temperature testing up to 2600°C, on different material classes such as metals, polymers, composites and ceramics. Mechanical testing of structural parts rounds off our portfolio, allowing us to establish the direct link between material property and structural performance.
